Indy RC World in Garland, TX hosted their annual Ice Breaker race this past weekend. Appropriately, given the eventâ™s name, the ice and snow from the past week melted away just in time to start the weekend. Racers from all over Texas, as well as many other travelling in from around the country attended this three day event. Ryan Lutz, Adam Drake, Cole Ogden, Joe Bornhorst, Colin Herzig and were among the many racers making the trip to the DFW area. XRAY racers in attendance included Kurt Kellum, Taylor Peterson, Steven Buchanan, Chris Metheny, Jordan Born, and Brian Beck, and Patrick Castleberry.

In nitro buggy, a rough start put Taylor at the back of the pack, but he was able to move up to 2nd place around the 10 minute mark. Taylor would battle with Ryan Lutz, Cole Odgen and Adam Drake for the rest of the main, finishing 3rd.

Building his XB8 2015 and XB8e earlier in the week, Taylor Peterson achieved a great result for his first time on the track with his XRAY cars. Achieving a 2nd and 4th place in two of the triple A rounds, Taylor finished with a 4th place overall in electric buggy.
